Call for Demos:

ArdWorks is a series of Hands-on Arduino workshops organized by COPELABS, University Lusófona with CoWork Lisboa in the field and which has as main goal to ignite augmented reality development based on low-cost and user-friendly technology. ArdWorks events are targetted to students, geeks, teachers, or simply people with basic programming skills willing to better deal with immersive technologies.

This third event - ArdWorks III, augmented reality, show-room, is intended to bring together demos provided by interested persons worldwide and above all, in Portugal, in order to assist in developing sinergies related to development of tools, hardware or interfaces, based on Arduino and similar technologies.

This call for demos is subject to the use of Arduinos as a low-cost tool to assist in developing immersive technology, from simple ideas to more complex and intricated immersive environments. It is focused on increasing user involvement and experience into technology.

In order to participate, please send the following to siti-mgt@uitc.ulusofona.pt:

• Name and e-mail
• Description (half a page) of the demo you intend to present
• Technical requirements you may have for your demo
  

The demos will be voted by the visitors. After the event, the best three demos will receive a prize

Fees and registration: Registration fee comprises afternoon sessions, coffee-break and lunch at CoWork. Taking the Arduino kit home requires an extra 50 Euros. Payment accepted: bank transfer or cash only. To register, please e-mail silvia dot prata at ulusofona dot pt providing:

• Your Name
• E-mail address
• Sessions that you want to attend (morning and/or afternoon)
• Proof of bank transfer

Registration fee for the morning sessions: 30 Euros plus 23% VAT, until 30.10.2011
